ReadyTrace, Inc. Joins CPSC in Creative Program to Publicize Product Recalls

LOS ANGELES, CA – ReadyTrace, Inc. today partners with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in a program devoted exclusively to inform consumers about product recalls through a new Web site. The Web site, www.Recalls.gov, is an unprecedented collaborative effort of CPSC and four other Federal regulatory agencies - the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard.  ReadyTrace, Inc. is using the occasion to heighten consumer awareness of this “one-stop-shop” Web site.

The new Web site links visitors to the home pages of government regulatory agencies responsible for product recalls.  In addition to finding details about recalled products, visitors will gain additional safety information and may sign up for e-mail alerts on recalled products, as they become available.

The Web site, which includes recall information in both English and Spanish, will be expanded to include downloadable pdf files of posters and other consumer information for use by health and safety professionals working with consumer groups that do not have access to the Internet.
